When she woke up this morning and opened the door to let the dog out, a gush of colours shook her out of her sleep-deprived numbness—their rich fragrant contrasts evoked a forgotten knowing of why life insists on living—despite the horrors that each day brings. This small seaside town keeps her on her toes—there are days when she wonders why she doesn’t go back to the big city, where one can Uber oneself to one&
